We founded LinkMentalHealth to make mental health accessible, proactively and reactively. Over 60% of people struggling aren't getting the help they need with many not knowing where to turn to, sometimes leading to fatal consequences. We're leveraging technology to tackle a problem that many of us have experienced, whether for ourselves or a loved one. It shouldn't take months to find help, especially when there are resources out there that just aren't being used.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’ve been short-listed for a grant opportunity to expand our existing solution, where the purpose is to “lowering suicide rates for youth living with psychosis and schizophrenia”. We're looking to work with an individual with those lived experiences, along with a caregiver, to have as part of our team. This is not symbolic: we want to ensure our solution is effective, and amplifying the voices of those from the community is the best way of doing that.

You’ll help lead the process in identifying the difference in flow within the platform for a person seeking support. You’ll spearhead co-design workshops where we’ll consult youth with those lived experiences and hear their perspectives. You’ll recommend user experience additions and changes to ensure needs are being met.

You'll expand on the knowledge you’ve already accumulated, and most excitedly, learn additional ones to add to your skillset.

COMPENSATION:

$22-26/hour

Full-time permanent contract

BUILD & ADD TO YOUR CAREER:

You and an executive will sit down at the beginning of your term to develop your personal Learning Plan collaboratively, and identify ways we can help you achieve your personal goals. The constant learning component is a core piece of our company's values. You'll have a chance to make mistakes, learn from them (and ideally, ensure they don't happen again). You'll also have the opportunity to lead and facilitate a series of focus groups to ensure the solution fits the needs that are there. You'll also see the day to days that exist to build a startup, and have the opportunity to learn skills that you’re interested in (whether through design, leadership, etc.) within your Learning Plan.
